An Oregon State University student team, The Scoop Sisters – was a recent Runner-Up in the 2025 Ever Fresh x Oregon State Ice Cream Innovation Contest. The team’s Lemon Pepper Ice Cream adds the heat of black pepper in a lemon-caramel swirl with a bright, citrus base, joining other student-created flavors such as coffee-infused lemon. The PCC-DBII joined sponsor Ever Fresh Fruit Company in funding the competition for market-ready ice cream concepts.
