National Impact of DBII Centers With four centers serving 40 states plus Puerto Rico, Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives (such as PCC) offer regionally-specific funding that helps dairy businesses thrive. New E-Learning Hub Resource “Mozzarella Cheese: An overview of production practices, and functional and sensory properties” is a literature review by Katherine Rehberger, Washington State University graduate student.
Spotlight: Our DBII Community
The PCC-DBII supports dairy farmers and businesses across six Western states through funding, resources and partnerships. Funded through the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service and hosted by California State University, Fresno, the PCC-DBII also collaborates with these partners.
Meet Two Interns
Chloe Rogers (l) and Dayana Limon Santiago (r) are social media managers for the Dairy Products and Technology Center (DPTC) and the Pacific Coast Coalition. They are pictured above (center) at Nicasio Valley Cheese Company. CHLOE is a third year Ag Comm student at Cal Poly SLO and manages the LinkedIn and Instagram accounts for the DPTC, She designs graphics, writes copy, and takes videos and photographs of short courses and events. In five years, she hopes to be working in dairy marketing, either on the husbandry or processing side. DAYANA is a third year Ag Science student at Cal Poly SLO, creating and scheduling content that highlights grantees, educational programs, and innovations within the dairy industry.
